why we run

Every Mother Counts was born from the recognition that not all birthing people enjoy the same access and privilege when it comes to maternity care. In some parts of the world, women have to travel many miles to reach a provider or clinic while pregnant or in labor, often by foot. We run as a way to raise awareness of maternal health disparities.

To date, Team EMC has run hundreds of thousands of miles, and raised over $7M in support of Every Mother Counts’ mission.

Hit the road this August and traverse 7 miles along the stunning New England Coastline.

Run for 26.2 iconic miles alongside stunning architecture, beautiful Lake Michigan, and the culturally rich neighborhoods of the Windy City.
